Listnote is a free speech to text or dictation app that allows you to speak and create notes, which is good if you’re too busy to type. The user speaks into the device and what they say is then displayed as text on the screen.
With Listnote, you can edit the text of what has been said and you can undo the last speech input if it didn’t come out right. The continue button lets you add additional speech. The Time to Breathe option allows you to choose how long the app waits before it stops the speech input.
You can organise your notes through starring, colour-coding, and filter by colour. The app allows you to share notes via SMS, email, Twitter and other apps that accept plain text. There’s also the option to password protect your notes, for privacy.
In addition to being used as a notes app, it’s also a handy tool for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing to use when communicating with someone who is hearing, as it allows the other person to read what has been said.
