Snarl is a website and traffic update app covering NSW, QLD and VIC. It shows live traffic cameras and live traffic maps, so users have the most up to date information at a glance.
If there is a traffic incident, it will show up on the map in one of three colours:
- Red means the incident has happened in the last hour
- Orange means it happened in the last two hours
- Green is for incidents that happened more than two hours ago
These colours act as a guide to let users know which incidents happened recently, and might have more of an impact on traffic than something that happened a while ago.
Users can check the site or app before they leave (to plan their journey) or have it on while travelling.
When the app is in Driving Mode, Snarl will speak updates. Users specify the area and distance they’re travelling and the app gives updates along the way.
